StreamEasy privacy policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
StreamEasy is a phone app made by 163 Productions. At a race, you check in with the app, and the production team
can choose your phone camera for the live show. This page explains what the app collects, why, and how long we keep it.
What we collect
- Your first name and email address, when you join a race. We use them to show your name to the production
team and to credit you for the time your camera was on the show.
- Your device ID, a random number the app creates, so that rejoining the same race doesn't count you twice.
- Still pictures from your camera, one small picture about every 5 seconds while you are checked in and not live,
so the production team can choose a camera.
- Live video and sound from your phone, but only after the production team picks you. Nothing is streamed
before that. While you are live, your video and sound go out on the live show.
- Your precise location while you are checked in, so the production team can see where each camera is on a map.
- Your battery level, so the production team can avoid picking a phone that is about to run out.
- When you joined, and when your camera was on the show.
The app has no ads and no tracking. We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Who sees it
- The 163 Productions team sees your first name, the still pictures, your location and battery
level while you are checked in.
- Viewers of the live show see and hear your video only while the production team has put it on the show.
- Your email address is seen only by 163 Productions staff who run the event, in the on-air credit report.
How long we keep it
- Still pictures, location and battery level are kept in memory only, are never saved to disk, and are gone
when the race service restarts. Only the most recent of each is kept.
- Live video passes through our server to the production and is not stored by StreamEasy. It may be part of the
recording of the live show, like any other camera on the show.
- Your name, email, device ID, join times and on-air times are kept with the race's records so we can credit
contributors. Ask us and we will delete them.
Your choices
- You can leave a race at any time in the app. That stops the still pictures, location and video straight away.
- The app asks for camera, microphone and location permission. You can turn them off in your phone's settings, but
the app can't be used to film without the camera.
- To see or delete the information we hold about you, email us at support@163productions.com.
Children
StreamEasy is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
